Family tree shows people who are you ancestors. For this activity we wrote down who my parents mum and dad from both sides. My dad parents are, Tangifetaua and Kaloni.
LI.To perfrom in front of the kindergarten.
This week the Panmure Bridge School kapa haka group went to the libary to perform. We first perfromed E te Ariki. E te Ariki it is a Maori hymn, and performed it as a waiata. Tamaki e was the next performance. It is a traditional welcoming song for the people. It reminds the audience to come onto our school grounds bringing the memories of their tipuna ancestors. Rona was after that one. It is a poi and taiaha dance, and it is about the moon, and how Rona is lonely up in the night sky. Tuia was next. It is another action dance, and it is about the birds flying above. Our last performance was the school haka. This was our first time showing our haka to the public.
